Ruggeri presents ‘BEYOND75’ by Mediterranea Design

A sustainable, 3D-printed collectible design piece that embodies the bold spirit of the historic Valdobbiadene winery, always looking towards the future.

Going beyond, daring, and innovating—this is the visionary imprint of Ruggeri, constantly seeking new paths in the world of wine and beyond. This forward-looking approach is the inspiration behind Beyond75, a collectible design piece and work of art at the intersection of craftsmanship and technology. It will be presented at Vinitaly [Verona, April 6-9, Pavilion 4, Stand D7] and during Milan Design Week to celebrate 75 years in the world of Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG.

Decidedly unconventional, Beyond75 is a solid representation of the winery’s ability to go beyond, featuring five alcoves to house the five bottles that best narrate the winery’s unique journey through heritage and innovation. To underscore this indomitable spirit, the design includes a sixth alcove—open, deliberately unfinished, and empty—ready to welcome the next enological project.

Ruggeri is a 5VIE partner and will make its debut during the district’s White Night event on Wednesday, April 9, at Bar Altra Vista inside the Leonardo da Vinci Museum of Science and Technology.

THE DESIGN

Beyond75 is a project developed by Mediterranea Design, an Italian design brand specializing in sustainable, 3D-printed furniture and accessories. The vineyard rows and steep slopes of Valdobbiadene, the birthplace of Prosecco Superiore DOCG, inspired its organic forms, layered contours, and fluid geometries. Here, craftsmanship meets 3D printing technology. Beyond75 is the result of a cross-pollination between artisanal expertise and digital computation, with a strong focus on sustainability.

This collectible design is made from PLA, an innovative bioplastic and biodegradable material derived from the transformation of sugars found in corn.

The six alcoves are arranged in a clustered triangular shape, a direct reference to the Ruggeri logo. Additionally, the elegant gold bronze finish enhances the minimalist and contemporary aesthetic of the piece.

THE SPARKLING WINES

Beyond75 celebrates Ruggeri’s past, present, and future, safeguarding the five most innovative Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG wines from the winery:

- Giustino B – Dedicated to founder Giustino Bisol, one of the first to believe in a challenging yet extraordinary territory, now recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

- Vecchie Viti – Produced from century-old vines, this wine embodies both environmental preservation and innovation. The vines are meticulously cared for by cutting-edge master pruners and dendrosurgeons.

- Giall’oro – One of Ruggeri’s first sparkling wines, crafted even before the establishment of the Prosecco DOC designation, later recognized as Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG.

- Ladaltempo – The pinnacle of Prosecco Superiore DOCG, according to Ruggeri. This innovative enological project allows the wine to rest on its lees for 60 months, transforming it into a balanced and unexpectedly complex ‘mature’ Prosecco.

- Cartizze Millesimato 2023 – The exceptional 2023 vintage inspired Ruggeri’s enologists to create their first Millesimato of the prestigious Cartizze Brut, an outstanding tribute to the finest cru in Valdobbiadene.

FROM VINITALY TO DESIGN WEEK: FINE WINE & COLLECTIBLE DESIGN

In both wine and design, quality takes shape through efficient processes, meticulous material selection, and out-of-the-box ideas. To go beyond means to take that extra step that reshapes the rules of the game. With Beyond75, Ruggeri has chosen to explore a new yet kindred world—design—while remaining true to its vision and values.

Beyond75 makes its double debut at Vinitaly [April 6-9, Verona – Pavilion 4, Stand D7] and Milan Design Week. The winery is a partner of 5VIE, the renowned design district that brings together art and high-end design in the heart of the city.

The collectible design piece will take center stage at the Sunday, April 6 and Wednesday, April 9 events at Bar Altra Vista inside the Leonardo da Vinci Museum of Science and Technology.

On Friday, April 11, Ruggeri will celebrate with a toast at Via Cesare Correnti 14, inside the 5VIE headquarters, during the Prendete e Mangiate exhibition—an ode to design and conviviality before, during, and after the meal.
