Alma is a 3D printed vase inspired by the Caltagirone pine cone, a symbol of life force and eternity, blending digital craftsmanship, nature, and design.
This Sicilian symbol represents fertility of the mind, fostering renewal and growth. Descartes linked the pine cone's shape to the pineal gland, the seat of the soul, which inspired the name Alma.
A touch of Sicily is reflected in the design and colors, merging craftsmanship and digital innovation. Created using additive manufacturing and the Contour Crafting method, Alma’s organic silhouette and detailed aesthetics emphasize its decorative nature, adding character to any space.

What precautions should I take with a Mediterranea Design vase?
Your 3D printed vase will last for many years with regular care.
To maintain the finish quality, avoid extreme temperature fluctuations and follow these cleaning guidelines:
- Use a soft scrub brush (non-metallic) to remove dirt between the lines.
- Clean with a white microfiber cloth and water.
- For heavier cleaning, use a mild soap. Avoid solvents or abrasive cleaners.
- After cleaning, rinse with warm water and dry with a soft cloth.
Please note, our vases are decorative. If you wish to fill them with water, insert a separate container inside.
